Re-Opening Donations

As we prepare to reopen many families have asked what they can do to support our transition back to school.

It would be wonderful if families could donate hand-sanitizer and disinfectant wipes to the school. RCSD and the State of California have provided supplies but it is always nice to have extra supplies in our classrooms.

The disinfectant wipes have to be bleach/chlorine free, and the sanitizer has to be at least 70% alcohol. Individual bottles of hand-sanitizer would be fantastic! Here are some pictures below, but always double-check the labels.

Donation boxes will be in front of the school

Monday-Friday from 7:30-4:00.

WATER BOTTLES

We are requesting that every student returning to campus bring a water bottle to campus. Our water fountains will be turned off and not accessible to students to drink from. The rationale is that we do not want students to drink from the fountains due to the possibility of cross-contamination. Please clearly label the water bottle with your child's name. If you are not able to send your child with a water bottle please let Mrs. Acke know, there will be drinking cups available if your Star forgets their water bottle. Thank you in advance for your attention to this!

November 4th - 1st day of school for In-Person and Champions Academy

No conference week November 16th-20th - conferences will be moved to a later date in 2021.

Dear TJ Families,

Thank you for participating in the Dot contest. You guys did an amazing job! We hope you had lots of fun doing it and enjoyed seeing everyone's art. The winner of this contest was Austin F! Congratulations to Austin and his family. We hope you enjoy your gift.

We are excited to announce our second virtual activity of the year! Many of you may not know but today is World Smile Day! This holiday is celebrated on the first Friday in October each year. It was created by Harvey Ball who is also the creator of the Smiley Face. He thought that we, all of us, should devote one day each year to making people smile with acts of kindness.

This activity will be hosted on Flipgrid from October 2 - October 11. Don't forget to use your school chromebook to access this activity. Only student email accounts have access to Fligrid for their protection.

World Smile day is about doing an act of kindness to help one person smile! Click here to see the activity and respond.
You can also enter the drawing by posting your act of kindness on Facebook. Go to our page and post your picture or comment under Tuesdays post. Winners will be announced on Monday 10/12.
