December 8, 2019

Happy Holidays,

What a wonderful time of year.  I am reminded by the may things I am thankful for and the list is LONG!  I am so very grateful for my family, friends and being the Principal of Thomas Jefferson Elementary!  I have been reminded daily that learning and leading with this amazing community is truly a blessing. Last month we focused on the character trait of Caring. I witnessed random acts of caring and kindness across our campus on a daily basis; Acts as simple as saying, "Thank you" at the lunch line and seeing Star support a fellow student during a difficult academic or social problem.  This month, I have been reminded that our school is a very special place that embraces all Stars on a daily basis and together we are better because of the fact that we all care deeply!

Thank you for caring deeply about your Star's education and please know that we are here to support you and your child's education in any way we can.

Thank you for your caring support,

Mrs. Acke and the TJ Team!

SCHOOL DROP OFF SAFETY

DROP OFF SAFETY NEED
Please do not park in any of the red curbed areas around the school. Our school buses have not been able to get to our school to drop off and release.  due to cars blocking intersections leading and exciting our school. Please use the loops to pick up your children or park and walk to get them or park in non-red zones.
ANOTHER DROP UP SAFETY NEED
If you are picking up students at the upper-grade loop please DO NOT block the flow of traffic. If you have to stop before turning into the loop please make another loop around the school using Pleasant Grove and Highland Park.
