August 9, 2019

Wow!  What a FANTASTIC start to school!  It was such a JOY to watch our Stars come to school and be back together as TJ family.  It felt as if I was welcoming all of my kiddos back home! We have taken the time to review our R.I.S.E. expectations around our campus and in our classrooms. Our students R.I.S.E. to success by showing Respect, demonstrating Integrity, being Safe and being Engaged. Please take the time to ask your Star about a RISING moment at school.

Please check your email and our Facebook page: Thomas Jefferson Facebook for information about blog updates.  Thank you so much for making the start of our year together such a smooth start. We are all looking forward to learning and leading together!

CLOSED CAMPUS PROCEDURES BEGIN

MONDAY, AUGUST 12, 2019

Beginning  Monday, August 12, 2019, only students will be permitted to enter the campus at the first bell.

TK AND  KINDERGARTEN will enter through the SIDE GATE.
GRADES 1-5 will enter through the FRONT GATE.

Adults who are volunteering on campus MUST come to the office and sign in after the second bell has rung.  While we understand that this may be inconvenient it will allow the office to complete their morning business and allow morning supervision and arrival of students to be supervised by school staff.  We thank you in advance for your support of the safety of our Stars.

Please remember that when dropping off students and picking up students there are a few guidelines we all must follow:

Students may be dropped off at 8:35 am when the gates open.

  1. When in the loops, do not park in either loop, the intent of the loop is to create a flow of traffic as we load and unload students.  If you need to come to the office or meet with a teacher please park in a parking spot.
  2. Please do not drive around stopped cars.  There are times when a vehicle may have been asked to stop by a staff member and to ensure student safety.
  3. Use crosswalks.  Please use the crosswalk by the Kindergarten playground to cross the street if you are parked across the street.
  4. Please DRIVE SAFELY, if you are in a rush please keep in mind that there are children arriving to school and a few minutes could save a child's life.
  5. If you have a child that needs to be buckled into a car seat please park your car.  The loop is intended to be a fluid flow of traffic.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT STUDENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO LOAD INTO A CAR UNLESS THEY ARE IN A DESIGNATED LOADING ZONE WHICH IS MARKED WITH A NUMBERED CONE.

THANK YOU FOR BEING PATIENT AND RISING AT THOMAS JEFFERSON!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School.  Please note that every volunteer must be fingerprinted and have an updated TB test on file with the school district.  For further information CLICK HERE to access the Roseville City School District's Volunteer Information webpage.

Thomas Jefferson is looking for a meal duty supervisor.  The job of Meal Duty Supervisor is done for the purpose of providing for the safety of students during lunchtime. The role of a  Meal Duty Supervisor is a wonderful way to get started as an employee at Thomas Jefferson (TJ) and the Roseville City School District.  It is also an amazing opportunity to engage with the TJ community and interact with students every day. If you are interested in this opportunity please see Kristy Fritz, our amazing new Administrative Secretary.
