What a wonderful week at Thomas Jefferson! Our fifth grade stars set off to camp to learn about the great outdoors, team work and themselves! Our on campus fifth graders built hot air balloons out of tissue paper and caring was in the air as the campus brimmed with Valentine's Day cards and candy! We have a lot of wonderful things coming our way such as Sami Circuit on the 20th of February and our Sami Circuit Family Night on the 27th. Dr. Suess Spirit week is the week of February 25th and our Community Read Aloud is March 1st. If you are interested in reading to your child's class, no matter what grade level, or to other classes please contact our school office or your child's teacher.

School is closed on Monday, February 18th, in honor of President's Day.
Student Leadership is excited to once again support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Pennies for Patients program. Every student will be coming home with a box to collect loose change or any donation you would like to donate and a flyer. The fundraiser will last from February 11th through March 1st. We will also be having "Chuck Your Change" -- Student Leadership members will be collecting change at the loops. Please help us support this amazing organization that helps kids with cancer. 
Please join us for a PTC event at McTeacher's Night on Tuesday, February 19th, from 4-8 PM at the McDonald's near Costco, 6710 Stanford Ranch Rd. 15% of the proceeds will be donated by the PTC to help fund the fifth grade Outdoor Education program.
The PTC is excited to invite TJ boy "stars" and their dates to Son's Night Out to a flashy, fun and thrilling glow in the dark dance party! Price is $15 per couple and $5 for each additional boy.
