Week of Nov. 12

We are so very fortunate to be a part of such a special community of learners and leaders.  It is so wonderful to see our Student Leadership Team rally together to promote the KCRA Kids Can Food Drive...we have already collected over 1300 cans, this is an increase of 500 cans from last year!  WAY TO GO STARS!  The cans that our RISING Stars collect go directly to our local Salvation Army.  That is something to be thankful for!

I am also thankful for the attention to safety that you all play in following our arrival and dismissal procedure.  Please remember to :
  • Remain in your car in the loop.
  • Do not park in the loop
  • Remain in a SINGLE FILE line in the loop and your children will walk to your car when you arrive at the top of either loop.
  • Do not drive out of the loop to create a double lane of traffic...we have small children who are using the crosswalk and double lanes make it very difficult cars to see them  We also have students who enter their cars on the lane side.
  • PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF IN THE FRONT LOOP, THIS IS FOR BUSSES AND COMMERICAL TRANSPORT ONLY.

Thank you!
Kirsten Acke

2019-2020 GATE Identification
The 2019-2020 school year GATE identification test will be administered at the District Office for students currently in 2nd-7th grade.  The students will take the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test, OLSAT, that tests abstract thinking and reasoning ability.  Students must attend one of the testing dates on the OLSAT Parent Permission Form to complete the testing by the district.  All forms must be returned to the District Office by January 11, 2019, if you would like your student tested. There are no exceptions as materials are ordered based on the number of returned forms. The permission form for the OLSAT assessment can be found HERE.

Please join us for Winter Caroling Night, Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 6:30 PM for an evening of music, community and FUN!
