HAPPY SPRING BREAK! The week before break was a busy one! We successfully completed a Lockdown drill on Wednesday and the students and staff did an excellent job of preparing for it as well and making it a smooth and safety minded exercise. Thank you all for your support at home, we are aware that there were conversations at home and your partnership was so helpful!
Second Grade Performs at Grandparents Day
The second grade performed with delight for their grandparents at Thomas Jefferson's Annual Grandparents Day. They then hosted their special guests with a snack of lemonade and cookies, gave them a school tour and shared stories, hopes, and dreams. It was a wonderful day indeed!
Just a reminder again, in case you didn't already know, Registration for next school year (2018/2019) is open, so if you haven't done so yet, please make sure to head online and complete it. Both new and returning students are required to fill out the registration, and the sooner we get your info in, the better!

Our Star Struck "Lights Camera Action" performance is the week after Spring Break. Your RISING STARS have been rehearsing for weeks and you DO NOT want to miss this annual tradition! There are two shows a night a 6:00 PM show and a 7:00 PM show.

Staff Performance
Please be advised that we are asking that EVERY Star is in attendance to make the show the best it can be! It is also EXPECTED that every student stays for both shows and dismissal of students will not be excused until the conclusion of the entire show. This practice ensures that EVERY dancer has an audience.
If you have not purchased tickets, please stop by the office. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

The Thomas Jefferson PTC is excited to announce that on May 4, 2018 we are bringing back our Annual Dinner & Auction Party with our newest theme, Denim & Diamonds!
This event will be held at the Maidu Community Center from 6:30pm-10:30pm.
All parents, teachers, staff, and community members are invited to be part of this annual event. This event benefits directly to our Thomas Jefferson Elementary Students and their technology needs. So get ready for a fun night of dinner, drinks, music, dancing, and auction while we raise money for our TJ Stars! Since the theme is Denim & Diamonds, wear your favorite jeans and add some Bling!! J Event Invitations complete with all information and Ticket Order Forms was sent home in your students’ Red Folders on Friday, 3/23/18.

Ticket prices are $40/ticket and that includes dinner and 1 free drink ticket!
