Thomas Jefferson Family Blog 2/24/2018

Hello TJ Families!

It is that time of year again!  Read Across America Week!  Thank you so much to the staff and the PTC members who brought TJville back to Thomas Jefferson.  We have a fun-filled week ahead of us filled with spirit days, Family Literacy Night and our community READ ALOUD!  We are looking forward to celebrating the gift of reading and literacy with all of our Stars!

WE NEED READERS !

 COMMUNITY READ ALOUD
MARCH 2, 2018
9:30-10:30

You're never too old, too wacky, too wild,
To pick up a book and read with a child.
You're never too busy, too cool, or too hot,
To pick up a book and share what you've got.

In schools and communities,
Let's gather around,
Let's pick up a book,
Let's pass it around.

There are kids all around you,
Kids who will need
Someone to hug,
Someone to read.

Come join us March 2nd
Your own special way
And make this America's
Read to Kids Day.

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER IF YOU ARE ABLE TO READ TO YOUR CHILD'S CLASS AND IF YOU WOULD BE OPEN TO READING TO OTHER CLASSES.  PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING YOUR OWN BOOK OR WE WILL SUPPLY YOU ONE FROM OUR LIBRARY!

Pennies For Patients!

Another HUGE THANK YOU to all community members who have donated so graciously for such a good cause!

Our school has done an outstanding job so far with some classes collecting OVER $300!

THIS IS the FINAL week of collecting our pennies and filling our boxes for such a worthy cause.  Please return your box to your classroom by Friday, March 2, 2018.

I KNOW that we can meet our goal of $3000.  Let us RISE for this amazing charity!

The time has come for families to register returning and new RCSD students online for the 2018-2019 school year!

You've got questions? We've got answers!
How and when do I get started?
To begin your 2018-2019 Student Registration, click here.

Do I have to answer all the questions?
Questions marked with a red asterisk (*) are required.

What if I make a mistake?
If you would like to make a change, click on the underlined field or click the < Prev button to return to a previous page.

I’ve completed the form -- now what?
When you've finished entering your information, click submit. This will send all of the information you’ve entered to the school. If you cannot click on this button, check to make sure you have answered all required questions.

What if I have more than one student in the District?
You’ll need to provide information for each child. We recommend submitting one Returning Student Registration and then start another, which will allow you to "snap over" shared family information, saving time.
