We have completed another amazing week here at Thomas Jefferson. Our second through fifth graders have begun their third round of assessments. Please encourage your Star to do their personal best! This assessment information informs our teacher's instructional practices and next steps in providing differentiated instruction for the students in their class.
We also celebrated Valentine's Day in true TJ fashion! I do not think I have seen so much chocolate in all of my life! Thank you all very much for the recognition of our staff with your generous treats and gifts. I know that we all feel extra loved!
As we wrap up the month of February we have our monthly awards assembly next Thursday and Read Across America Week the week of February 26th. Please continue to collect pennies for our Pennies for Patients drive, our goal is $3000! I am sure that we can do it!

CAASPP Notification and Parent Letter (3rd-5th Grade)
In late April and May we out 3rd-5th grade wills be taking the CAASPP test. Please read through the following document from our district office regards to the testing. We will start testing at Sargeant on April 30th and finish by May 18th. Students will be using Chromebooks in their classroom to complete the test. Please look for information coming home in April from your child's teacher for specific dates your child we be testing (they are not testing every day in the timeframe mentioned).

STUDENT LEADERSHIP NEWS:
We are proud to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through their Pennies for Patients program. Your student will be coming home with a box to put coins or dollars in! This program runs from 2/13-3/2. Please help us support this amazing program. Our goal this year is $3000.
