We are so very fortunate to be a part of such a special community of learners and leaders. It is so wonderful to see our Student Leadership Team rally together to promote the KCRA Kids Can Food Drive...we have already collected over 800 cans! The cans that our RISING Stars collect go directly to our local Salvation Army. That is something to be thankful for!
I am also thankful for the attention to safety that you all play in following our arrival and dismissal procedure. Please remember to :
- Remain in your car in the loop.
- Do not park in the loop
- Remain in a SINGLE FILE line in the loop and your children will walk to your car when you arrive at the top of either loop.
- Do not drive out of the loop to create a double lane of traffic...we have small children who are using the crosswalk and double lanes make it very difficult cars to see them We also have students who enter their cars on the lane side.
- There are no dogs allowed on campus. We have children who are afraid of dogs and not all children are versed in dog safety.
November is the season to be thankful! One of my favorite things to do is make positive phone calls home for kids, and teachers use a positive office referral form to share with me the names of students to be recognized. I would love to celebrate our Thomas Jefferson staff and teachers, too! If you have a staff member or teacher you would like to thank and recognize, please send me an email or complete the form below and I will visit the staff member and share your kind words. Thank you for helping us spread kindness at our school!
The Minion Madness Dance-A-Thon was a huge success!! Congratulations to all of the TJ Stars for their hard work raising money for our school! We raised a record breaking $21,182!!! AMAZING!!!
