Red Ribbon Week - Dress Up Days
Red Ribbon Week will be observed this week. We will continue to focus on teaching our students to make healthy choices: eating right, exercising and teaming up with friends to make good choices. There will be dress up days as well as teachers may be reading books or doing related activities.

Monday, Oct. 23: Pledge Day - Pledge Day" "Join Hands and commit to a Healthy Lifestyle" Students will trace and cut out their hands to create a school-wide pledge board in the MPR.

Tuesday, Oct. 24: We are RED-dy to be Healthy - Wear RED to school.

Wednesday, Oct.25: “Teaming Up to Make Healthy Choices” Sports Day-Wear your favorite team jersey or sports clothing.

Thursday, Oct. 26: Sock it to an Unhealthy life Style - Wear CRAZY Socks !

Friday, Oct. 27: Pink Friday - In Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Please join us at the PTC sponsored Harvest Festival this Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 pm. There will be games, food trucks and community fun! Candy and prize donations are still needed.


SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
Our Book Fair will be open before school, during lunch and after school.  Please support literacy and our school library and stop by our Book Fair on the stage.  The Book Fair will also be open at the Harvest Festival on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 5-7:00 pm.

Student Leadership Corner


Student Leadership Team has already met this year. We are very excited to get started on two projects: KCRA3 Canned Food Drive from October 22-November 9th and our Homeless Hygiene bags from the end of November to mid-December. Please help our team by donating these items. Our main goal is to give back to our community.  Please CLICK HERE for items that are being requested for the can food drive.



Elks Lodge and Roseville Emblem Club
2017 Poster and Essay Contest
The Elks and Emblems of Roseville are sponsoring a poster and essay contest for their annual drug awareness program, October 23—31, 2017. All 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students are invited to draw a poster (9”x 12” poster paper will be available at your school site) on the topic “What Heros Do”. All submissions are to be turned in to the District Office by November 10, 2017, late submissions will not be accepted.  Please see the rules for more details. 
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at each school site. This year winners and their immediate families will be invited to a dinner/award evening on January 24, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
Contestants must have the following information on the back of the submission:
 · Student’s full name, address, phone number and parents email address 
· Student’s school name and grade
 · Student’s teacher name
MAKE-UP PICTURE DAY

Make-Up Picture day is this Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
