Dance-A-Thon FUN

Hello TJ Families!
The TJ Community danced their hearts out and the Dance-A-Thon  was a so much FUN on Friday.  Our Stars DANCED their hearts out with Minion friends and fellow TJ Stars!  

Don't forget to keep collecting your donations/pledges for the Dance-A-Thon! All Donations are due by 10/20/17 to your teacher or the office. But you can also Donate Online now through PayPal!! Tell your family and friends.

All of the money raised goes right back to our TJ students towards education enrichment and all of the amazing events they get to enjoy including, The Harvest Festival, Daughter Dance, Son's Night, Popsicle Parties and School Assemblies to name a few! And our TJ Stars can also win some "One in a Minion" Prizes and Awards: 

The Dance-A-Thon is going to be a great event!! We are looking forward to a fun day of dancing and raising money for our TJ Stars! 
A very special THANK YOU goes out to our AMAZING PTC for all of their hard work in making this fun event happen!



Harvest Festival Fun!

SAVE THE DATE!  
This year's Harvest Festival will be held on
Thursday, October 26th from 5-7 PM.  
This will be a FREE event with carnival games, costumes, DJ dancing, photo booths, crafts, food trucks and lots of fall fun!  The PTC is off to a great start planning this event and we need YOUR help.  We are looking for four (4) adult volunteers per grade level to help set-up and take down games/booths.  We have volunteers to run the booths so that parents can enjoy the festivities with their families.  
Harvest Festival Grade level Representatives will work with other grade volunteers to:
  • Decorate/set up booths for games
  • Take down of the booths the night of the event and return to storage (located on school grounds)
We are also in need of various supplies for the event (candy, baked goods, tables, prizes, etc.).  If you are interested in volunteering or helping out by donating items for the event, please use the

Our Fall Book Fair will be hosted at Thomas Jefferson the week of October 20-27, 2017!  Our Book Fairs contribute to out school's library and brings joy to to our students through books!  The Book Fair is looking for volunteers to set up, tear down and we need cashiers!  Please see the Sign-up Genius to volunteer!  Every shift that you work you earn $5 scholastic credit towards your book fair purchase!  Please see the link below to sign up to volunteer: Book Fair Sign-up

TJ STARS GIVE BACK

A BIG Thank you to Curtis Ashby and his crew of volunteers! His "Playground Beautification" Eagle Scout Project was a great success and our playground looks fantastic and ready for fun! Curtis and his crew were able to re-paint and stripe: 5 Basketball Courts, 14 Four Square Courts, 19 Hopscotch Courts, 11 Tether Ball Courts, 3 Race Circles, 11 Number & Letter Games, 4 Buddy Benches, 4 Wall Ball Courts, 4 Reserved Parking Spaces and The Kindergarten Shape Game. New things that his crew added to beautify are: 28 Line-up Stars (Red & Blue) and 28 Evacuation Stars (White), a Kindergarten ABC Caterpillar and Star Walk at the entrance of the school.
