March 17, 2020
Dear Thomas Jefferson Families,
As we enter a week of school closure due to the Coronavirus, I first want to send you and your family positive thoughts in hopes that you all stay healthy during this time. The staff has been on campus this week and TJ is simply not the same without our RISING Stars.
The information below is to keep you updated about these three weeks and answer any questions you may have at this time. Please know that as information is updated I will share it with you. Please give your children a hug from us and know that we are all missing their smiling faces.
Thank you,
Kirsten Acke
Resources from District and School
RCSD and our teachers have shared enrichment opportunities with you in last Friday's communication for you to use with your students over the next three weeks. They are shared to support your child if you would like to use them, but you are not required to do so. It's optional.
LOST and FOUND
Lost and Found will be placed out in front of the school tomorrow, March 18, 2020, at 9:00 am, on the Lost and Found rack and on a table. If you want to stop by to claim lost items, please use Social Distancing when collecting items.
Breakfast and Lunch
At this time we are still serving breakfast and lunch in our MPR. Our food services department is still working to provide these meals for your kids. The meal are "To Go." This means that parents may bring their children to the school site to receive the bagged meal. Meals will be served to all children under the age of 18 and children must be present to receive a meal. There will be no seating in the MPR to stay and eat. The food services department may consolidate to a few schools but right now all schools are serving at 7:30-8:30 am for breakfast and 11:30-12:30 for lunch.Star Struck
Star Struck has been rescheduled for April 20 and May 5. If your child was preforming on Tuesday, March 24, your new show day is Tuesday, April 28, 2020, and if your child's show day was Thursday, March 26, your new show day is Tuesday, May 5, 2020. The choreographer is working with her team to create videos so that your child can practice at home. Once we receive them we will share them with you as an enrichment activity.
