Dear Thomas Jefferson Families, 

It is hard to believe that October is at its end we are moving into the holiday season.  As we move forward into November,  I am reminded of the many things I am grateful for.  Our amazing TJ Staff is something that warms my heart and I continue to be humbled by their dedication to their craft and to our Stars.  

On behalf of the TJ Staff, I  wish you a wonderful and safe weekend filled with laughter, fun, and something to be thankful for.

1. Carry glow sticks or flashlights, use reflective tape or stickers on costumes and bags, and wear light colors to help kids see and be seen by drivers.
2. Join kids under age 12 for trick-or-treating.
3. Slow down and be alert! Kids are excited on Halloween and may dart into the street. Turn on headlights early in the day to spot kids from further away.
4. Remind kids to cross the street at corners or crosswalks.
5. When selecting a costume, make sure it is the right size to prevent trips and falls. Choose face paint over masks when possible. Masks can limit children’s vision.

Just a reminder there is no school on Monday, November 1st, due to Staff Development and Training. 

There will be no school on Thursday, November 11th in honor of Veterans Day.
